Eduardo Rodríguez Gutiez (ORCID 0000-0002-6260-6847), is currently a honorary research fellow at the University of Valladolid. After studying a Technical Engineering in Computer Systems at the University of Valladolid, he started a master’s degree in Computer Engineering in 2013. In early 2021, he completed his PhD thesis in Informatics within the Trasgo Research Group of the same university, under the direction of Arturo Gonzalez and Yuri Torres. Focused in High-performance computing, it discusses the parallelization of applications using the HitMap message-passing library, and the development of the Controllers library to allow kernels targeting different types computing elements (processors and coprocessors) to use the best performing linear algebra libraries available for said elements. This thesis was partially funded by an FPI Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitivity (MINECO). In late 2017, he did a 3-month research stay at the University of Edinburgh thanks to an HPC-Europa3 grant. During most of 2022, he did a postdoc on the ERICA research group of the University of Valladolid.
